Foldable or fixed

A folding reformer can be put away when the room is needed for other things; a fixed frame suits a setup that stays in one place. Either way, check how the specific model is moved and stored.

Oak Reformer with Half Tower — styled room setting

01

For a folding reformer

Folding frames earn their place in rooms that do more than one job. Before you choose one, confirm:

  • The folded height, width and depth.
  • How the locking mechanism works, and which accessories must come off first.
  • Transport wheels, and an approved storage position.
  • The manufacturer’s instructions for folding and lifting.

02

For a fixed frame

A fixed frame stays assembled, so the room plan and the delivery matter most:

  • Measure the full working footprint, with enough clearance to practise comfortably.
  • Check delivery access and assembly arrangements before ordering.
